2010 NFL MOCK DRAFT - April 13th
www.theFOOTBALLHUB.com - Brian Phlipot

1. St. Louis Rams: Sam Bradford - QB (Oklahoma)

Almost a done deal.  Will the contract be signed?

Previous Selection: Sam Bradford - QB (Oklahoma)

 2. Detroit Lions: Ndamukong Suh - DT (Nebraska)

Head Coach Jim Schwartz wants a dominating defense.  Suh is another piece to the puzzle.  With the addition of Rob Sims, Jeff Backus will likely stay at LT

Previous Selection: Russell Okung - OT (Oklahoma State)

 3. Tampa Bay Buccs: Gerald McCoy - DT (Oklahoma)

Tampa is in a great spot to get a fantastic player.  McCoy could be a top pick in any other year.

Previous Selection: Ndamukong Suh - DT(Nebraska)

 4. Washington Redskins: Russell Okung - OT (Oklahoma State)

Shanahan got his QB.  Now to take care of that offensive line…and it is offensive.

Previous Selection: Jimmy Clausen - QB(Notre Dame)

 5. Kansas City Chiefs: Bryan Bulaga - OT (Iowa)

The Chiefs need help everywhere.  Bulaga can play either tackle position.  This pick gives them some flexibility.

Previous Selection: Trent Williams - OT(Oklahoma)

 6. Seattle Seahawks: Trent Williams - OT (Oklahoma)

Seattle needs to fix their offensive line or it will be a long season for new Head Coach Pete Carroll.  Eric Berry and Jimmy Clausen have some potential here and offer a more sexy pick but Carroll is a wildcard this year.

Previous Selection: Bryan Bulaga - OT(Iowa)

 7. Cleveland Browns: Eric Berry - S (Tennessee)

The run on offensive tackles will pause here and Cleveland fans will rejoice.  Eric Berry is possibly the next premier player at a safety position that has become one of the most valued in recent years.

Previous Selection: Eric Berry - S (Tennessee)

 8. Oakland Raiders: Bruce Campbell - OT (Maryland)

Kids, grow up to be a workout warrior and you'll be a Raider.

Previous Selection: Gerald McCoy - DT (Oklahoma)

 9. Buffalo Bills: Jimmy Clausen - QB (Notre Dame)

The Bills need help everywhere.  Clausen just had a fantastic pro day.  DT Dan Williams is a high possibility here as the team switches to the 3-4.

Previous Selection: Anthony Davis - OT (Rutgers)

 10. Jacksonville Jaguars: Derrick Morgan - DE (Georgia Tech)

Gene Smith likes to take the best player available and values character.  I think they would like to trade down if possible.

Previous Selection: Joe Haden - CB (Florida)

 11. Denver Broncos: Rolando McClain - ILB (Alabama)

With McClain, the Broncos get a smart and determined three-year starter with 3-4 experience at inside linebacker.

Previous Selection: Rolando McClain - ILB (Alabama)

 12. Miami Dolphins: Dan Williams - DT (Tennessee)

At 6'2 and 327 lbs, Dan Williams is a rising prospect that can replace Jason Ferguson at nose tackle - an important position in the 3-4 scheme.

Previous Selection: Dan Williams - DT (Tennessee)

 13. San Francisco 49ers: Joe Haden - CB (Florida)

The 49ers could use some help along the offensive line but Haden fills a huge hole in the secondary.

Previous Selection: Mike Iupati - OG (Idaho)

 14. Seattle Seahawks: CJ Spiller - RB (Clemson)

The Seahawks could go a few ways here but Spiller gives HC Pete Carroll his "Reggie Bush".

Previous Selection: Jason Pierre-Paul - DE (South Florida)

 15. New York Giants: Sean Weatherspoon - OLB (Missouri)

The Giants have some needs along in their linebacking core and Weatherspoon should fit in nicely.  He brings an attitude along with his physical playing style that will be a big lift for the NY defense.

Previous Selection: Sean Weatherspoon - OLB (Missouri)

 16. Tennessee Titans: Jason Pierre-Paul - DE (South Florida)

The Titan's defensive line has changed dramatically over the past few years and it will change even more this year.

Previous Selection: Derrick Morgan - DE (Georgia Tech)

 17. San Francisco 49ers: Mike Iupati - OG (Idaho)

With CB taken care of, how about some offensive line help?

Previous Selection: Kyle Wilson - CB (Boise State)

 18. Pittsburgh Steelers: Kyle Wilson - CB (Boise State)

The Steelers need help in the defensive secondary and offensive line.  It could be Wilson vs Pouncey here.  Possibly a receiver with the departure of Santonio Holmes

Previous Selection: Maurkice Pouncey - OC (Florida)

 19. Atlanta Falcons: Brandon Graham - DE (Michigan)

The Falcons experiment with former 1st round pick Jamaal Anderson has been a huge failure.  The team needs to generate a pass rush if the defense is to improve and keep up with its offense.

Previous Selection: Brandon Graham - DE (Michigan)

 20. Houston Texans: Earl Thomas - S (Texas)

Earl Thomas will be a nice addition to a secondary that could use the speed and skills that Thomas provides.

Previous Selection: Earl Thomas - S (Texas)

 21. Cincinnati Bengals: Maurkice Pouncey - OC (Florida)

With current center Kyle Cook on a 1 year deal and the LG spot filled with former practice squad fodder, Pouncey gives the team some leverage.

Previous Selection: Dez Bryant- WR (Oklahoma State)

 22. New England Patriots: Jared Odrick - DT (Penn State)

Odrick is the perfect fit for a team that needs to replace Richard Seymour's DE spot in the 3-4.

Previous Selection: Jared Odrick - DT/DE (Penn State)

 23. Green Bay Packers: Anthony Davis - OT (Rutgers)

Take it home Tom: Freeee-fallin'...

Previous Selection: Charles Brown - OT (USC)

 24. Philadelphia Eagles: Charles Brown - OT (Southern California)

McNabb is gone.  The team has a new young signal caller.  They might want to invest in some protection.

Previous Selection: Sergio Kindle - OLB (Texas)

 25. Baltimore Ravens: Jermaine Gresham - TE (Oklahoma)

The Ravens have a plethora of possibilities here with Dez Bryant and Sergio Kindle on the board.

Previous Selection: Jermaine Gresham - TE (Oklahoma)

 26. Arizona Cardinals: Sergio Kindle - OLB (Texas)

Kindle could slide into Dansby's open spot.

Previous Selection: Bruce Campbell - OT (Maryland)

 27. Dallas Cowboys: Dez Bryant - WR (Oklahoma State)  The Cowboys are probably looking for some help at the safety, wide receiver, and offensive line positions and  Bryant falls right into their laps.

Previous Selection: Taylor Mays - S (USC  28. San Diego Chargers: Ryan Mathews - RB (Fresno State)

Mathews could fit nicely within LT's former role.  Expect DT to handled in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Previous Selection: Terrence Cody - DT (Alabama)

 29. New York Jets: Taylor Mays - S (Southern California)

The Jets just acquired Santonio Holmes, eliminating the need for a WR.  HC Rex Ryan gets a physical player he covets.

Previous Selection: Golden Tate - WR(Notre Dame)

 30. Minnesota Vikings: Devin McCourty - CB (Rutgers)

Both starting corners, Antoine Winfield and Cedric Griffiin, battled injuries last season so getting a big athletic corner like McCourty should make the team happy.

Previous Selection: Devin McCourty - CB(Rutgers)

 31. Indianapolis Colts: Brian Price - DT (UCLA)

With Price, the Colts are getting a tough defensive tackle that can be a disruptive force in the Colts defense.

Previous Selection: Brian Price - DT(UCLA)

 32. New Orleans Saints: Everson Griffen - DE (Southern California)

Griffen has an aggressive playing style that should compliment what Greg Williams likees to do on defense.

Previous Selection: Everson Griffen - DE(USC)
